Features

Our hardware interfaces are available for the three standard protocols ISO, PWM and VPW. The interface consists of a small enclosure with two attached cables, one connects to the vehicles diagnostic socket and the other to a PC. Windows-based PC's are currently supported, with PDA's working on a similar system Digimoto Pocket PC.

Software

UK OBD are authorised resellers of the Digimoto software. Digimoto is an application that is used for diagnostics, but not just diagnostics alone. It is also used to measure vehicle performance and the state of your vehicles systems at any given point in time. Whether you are a mechanic or strictly into street racing, the Digimoto is the tool of choice.

Digimoto consists of nine distinct modules: Real Time Sensor Charts, Diagnostic Trouble Codes, Sensor Grid, Quarter Mile Stats, Dyno Statistics, Data Logging, Freeze Frame Data, Serial Interface and Gauges.

Real Time Sensor Charts

Your car supports various real time sensors which we can plot real time for you while your car is running. The real time sensors adapt to the minimum and maximum values that are provided by your car. Each vehicle is different and we have built our charts to adapt accordingly. Next to each chart is the current value associated with the given sensor. 4.02 now includes the ability to chart 4 sensors at one time.

You have the ability to pause and or reset these monitors at any time. You can toggle between various monitors whether your car is in motion or idle. If you change tabs, the application will automatically pause your current values so you can return and resume when you desire.

A few samples of these charts include your engines RPM, your vehicles MPH, your car's intake temperature, the engines calculated load value, your coolant temperature and your vehicles O2 sensor readings. Each car supports unique sensors which Digimoto will identify and enter into a drop down list for you to select. If the sensor is not available to your car, Digimoto will not display the item within the drop down list. Running the real time sensor charting module is as simple as selecting the sensors you wish to monitor and checking a box to enable the chart.

Diagnostic Trouble Codes

The DTC System can be a very powerful and useful tool if you are having difficulties with your car. If your vehicle has generated any error codes and your check engine light has come on, the DTC System will allow you to load those error codes, displaying what, if anything, is wrong with your system. There are instances when vehicles will turn the check engine light on and leave the light on even when the issue has been resolved. To take your car into a garage and have the check engine light simply turned off, even if the problem no longer exists, can cost anywhere from £80 upward. After you load the error codes and they are displayed, you can then choose to reset your vehicles memory and turn your check engine light off. This feature alone can save you a lot of money and many headaches associated with car repairs.

The database that comes with the Digimoto application contains thousands of error codes along with their descriptions to help you identify and resolve any issues with your car.

Sensor Grid

The sensor grid is similar to the sensor charting, but it displays items that you may not necessarily require to chart. It also displays the sensors your vehicle does not support. In every vehicle that is OBD II compatible (1996 and newer) there will be variances in what is and is not supported, but these differences are minor in nature. One of the new features we have added in Digimoto 4.02 is to allow our users to query the sensors they would like, regardless of whether the vehicle thinks the sensors are or are not supported.

You can simply add and remove items from the sensor grid while you are monitoring your cars statistics.

Quarter Mile Stats

Digimoto was originally designed to use the quarter mile stats to display information such as estimated horsepower and torque values, but became something used uniquely by street racing enthusiasts. The application will allow you to monitor and gauge your best times while racing or before and after modifications to your vehicle. One of the unique features of the Dyno component and the quarter mile interface is they both begin monitoring your vehicles statistics when it detects movement. This will allow you to get settled in your vehicle and focus on what you should be focusing on while driving your vehicle. This hands-free approach provides a very unique benefit over other existing systems.

Dyno Statistics

The Digimoto dynamometer that is included with the software is built upon basic physics. Certain information about your car is required before you can get a successful reading from the dynamometer. Vehicle weight, tire size and even estimated wind resistance are all variables that need to be taken into consideration for Digimoto to give you an estimated value of your rear wheel horsepower. The dynamometer charts both your horsepower and torque over your vehicles rpm while recording the cars statistics. As every car is different the dynamometer also adapts to your vehicles max horsepower, torque and rpm allowing you to calculate these values on even the most powerful vehicles.

Data Logging

In the latest 4.02 release users can now log any data that is retrieved from their vehicle. This allows end users the ability to use the data in formats of their choice, viewing reports however they like. Data is logged in both English and Metric format and contains detailed information regarding the query that was made, the values returned, the time the query was made as well as provides a raw view of the hex data returned.

Gauges
Digimoto 4.02 now includes the ability to preview data in gauge format. The gauges provide a sharp look, giving you an easy to glance at read out of current sensor information. We have included a default skin to these gauges, but in the future will be allowing our customers the ability to apply their own skins as well. The gauges display in both English and Metric values as would a regular gauge. The gauges cover RPM, Fuel Pressure, Speed, MAF Air Flow Rate, Air Temperature, Intake Manifold Pressure and Coolant Temperature.
